As of today the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 559 960.
Testing Data:
The number of tests conducted to date is 10 181 143. Of these 26 165 tests were completed since the last report.
Deaths and Recoveries
Today, a further 67 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 8, Free State 9, Gauteng 28, Kwa-Zulu Natal 0, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 19, Northern Cape 2 and
Western Cape 1, which brings the total to 53 423 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 485 315, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
Vaccination Rollout
The number of health care workers vaccinated under the Sisonke Protocol is 292 623 as at 18.30 today
