HEALTH MINISTER DR JOE PHAAHLA, PREMIER PANYAZA LESUFI AND THE STANLEY AND DAPHNE NKOSI FOUNDATION TO OPEN NEWLY RENOVATED TRAUMA WARD AT BARA HOSPITAL

Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla together with Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi,

MEC for Health Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko and the Stanley and Daphne Nkosi Foundation will tomorrow (Tuesday, 18 October) open a newly renovated Trauma Unit

at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH).

The renovation project is part of the #VukaBaraVuka campaign initiated by the Stanley and Daphne Nkosi Foundation under the guidance of Mrs Daphne Mashile-

Nkosi and Family.

 

The campaign aims to encourage and inspire Soweto residents and

nearby communities to restore the legacy of CHBAH Hospital.

The newly renovated Trauma Unit is the largest in the country (with 52 beds and one

of the largest in the world), and will ensure that the hospital continues to provide

effective and efficient health services, as well as address the high demand for health

services.
